Now that we know when and under what title a fourth "Jurassic Park" movie will appear — "Jurassic World" opens in June 2015 — we're free to speculate about more specific issues, like what the heck the thing will actually be about.
Today, a video that some are claiming is a pitch reel for "Jurassic World" has surfaced online, causing many to speculate that the upcoming sequel will finally answer the fan questions about whether the flying creatures from the prehistoric island could fly to the main land.
Check out the reel and read more about the theories on it after the jump!
According to Oliver Thompson, the YouTube user that uploaded the camcorder recorded video, Iain McCaig showed this footage at Star Wars Celebration II, but it was his presumption that it was for a "Jurassic Park" movie sequel. "I can only presume it was part of a pitch for reigniting the JP movie franchise, if anyone can confirm please let me know," he wrote in a comment.
That's when people started checking into the footage on Twitter. Someone reached out to producer Frank Marshall, who plainly claimed that it wasn't for the movie.
And then Pablo Hidalgo, a story supervisor at Lucasfilm, claimed the footage is from a cancelled video game.
Either way, it's an interesting watch. If it has something to do with the story of "Jurassic World," which according to the latest rumors will take place primarily on the island from the first film, all the better.
