Nick Jonas may no longer be making music with the Jonas Brothers, but now, it just means he has more time to steam up your local Cineplex with his very mature flick, "Careful What You Wish For."
The Jonas brother released a teaser for the movie on Monday (November 4), and it's clear from the 22-second preview that he's not a little kid anymore.
In the clip, he and co-star Dermot Mulroney sit on a boat, and Jonas asks the older guy, "How'd you get all this?" Of course, he's referring to his riches as well as his hot, younger wife, played by Isabel Lucas. Nick starts lusting after Lucas' character, and before long, the two get lost in some passionate kissing. How far will their affair go? Fans will have to wait until the flick opens to find out.
Jonas shot the movie in North Carolina earlier this year. It is directed by Elizabeth Allen ("Aquamarine," "The Vampire Diaries," "Life Unexpected") and also features Paul Sorvino.
Nick dished about the grown-up movie role to MTV News earlier this year. "I play a guy named Doug Martin. It's an interesting movie; really intense sort of sexy thriller with a lot of twists and turns. It's a great acting role. It's something I can really dive into and sort of lose myself in and become this person for a little while, which is exciting," he said. "And I think it'll be a movie that keeps people on the edge of their seats and makes them uncomfortable and excited. It'll be good."
In addition to "Careful" and releasing a final bit of new music with the JoBros, Nick will also make an appearance on CBS' "Hawaii Five-O" later this season.
